About The Program

The Pharmacy Services Program includes the training of intermediate staff trained in the field of health, who have the necessary knowledge to serve in the field of pharmacy.

Pharmacy Services Technician:
They are the health personnel who ensure that the drugs on the prescriptions are prepared and presented correctly under the supervision of the pharmacist, and who assist the pharmacist in providing necessary information about other medicinal products, keeping pharmacy records and communicating with patients.

Purpose of the Program:
The aim of this program is to train assistant intermediate staff in the field of health, who are educated, have the necessary knowledge and equipment in order to provide a better quality health service to the society.
Within the scope of the program, gaining professional knowledge theoretically and practically, teaching the use of up-to-date information and technologies, providing the necessary information about the health procedures of prescription and non-prescription drugs and the records to be kept, and providing information about the current system, a rational approach to drug use. It includes the use of information and communication technologies, which are necessary for exhibiting and doing all of these.

Internship and Job Opportunities:
In order to graduate from this department with the necessary knowledge and equipment, the required internship periods must be completed and in order to achieve this, internship opportunities are offered by our university in pharmacies, pharmacy warehouses and hospitals. Health professionals graduated from this department can work as trained assistant intermediate staff in pharmacies, public and private hospitals, pharmaceutical warehouses, medical sector and workplaces in various fields including the pharmaceutical industry. Students who graduate from this program can complete their undergraduate education by gaining the right to continue in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and also Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry departments with the vertical transfer exam (DGS) organized by OSYM.
