The aim of the Opticians Program is to train opticians who can read the prescriptions prepared by the ophthalmologist, supply optical equipment, choose the most suitable glass and frame for the patient, and perform the most appropriate glasses assembly procedures in order to correct or alleviate vision disorders.
Students who receive education in Istinye University Vocational School of Health Services Opticians Program graduate with high technology devices and laboratories, which are used in both theoretical and practical courses, with high knowledge and equipment that should be in the optical institution environment. Our students who graduated from the Health Services Vocational School Optician program, which has a strong academic staff, have general public health knowledge, are entrepreneurial and self-renewing, have adopted the philosophy of total quality and can support the relevant institutional processes, and are able to deal with environmental, social and ethical problems and related issues related to their profession. We aim to train technical staff who know their responsibilities and observe the health and safety measures related to their profession.
Students who graduate from this program are given the title of "Optician". Students graduating from the program can work in refraction hospitals, optical stores, contact lens production sites, optical equipment warehouses, universities, and also open and run a freelance eyeglasses store.
